Eastern Maine Railways

Shipments requiring direct access to Boston and the US Northeast are routed through Mattawamkeag, Maine on rails operated by Pan Am Railway. Points west and south are served through connections CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern (NS). Eastern Maine Railway is the operator and maintenance provider for 11 miles of railroad running between Baileyville, Maine and St. Stephen, N.B; following their successful purchase of the line from Maine Central Railway.

Eastern Maine Railway now interchanges all inbound and outbound freight on behalf of Woodland Pulp LLC. with sister company NB Southern Railway at St. Stephen, N.B. This freight is then interchanged to one of NB Southern Railway's 4 strategic connections which include Canadian National Railway(CN), Central Maine & Quebec Railway(CMQR), Pan Am Railway(PARS) and affiliate Maine Northern Railway(MNR).
